Qualifications and responsibilities for this Principal Architect / Architectural Division Manager position include:
- Active Colorado Architect license required, with strong experience in architectural design, project management, construction documentation, and project delivery.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing architectural teams, client relationships, consultants, project budgets, and overall project profitability.
- Experience with commercial and/or custom residential projects, including luxury homes valued at $2M–$5M, renovations, schools, churches, and other commercial facilities.
- Ability to independently oversee an architectural division, including staffing, hiring decisions, business development, operational planning, and financial performance.
- Lead architectural projects from conceptual design, planning, and entitlements through construction documents, permitting, contract administration, and construction completion.
- Prepare project proposals, conceptual cost estimates, code reviews, and architectural documentation while ensuring quality, compliance, and profitability.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal construction teams to deliver successful design-build projects while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Manage and mentor an existing architectural team while identifying opportunities to expand the division, improve operations, and grow the business.
Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Compensation may be flexible for highly qualified candidates, with potential performance-based bonuses once established and the division is operating consistently.
