This Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician opportunity is based in New Bern, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington, with the biggest needs in Raleigh and Charlotte.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician position include:
- Experience level can range from trade-school graduates to seasoned commercial refrigeration technicians; commercial refrigeration is the top priority.
- Has commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC exposure, with ability to service and maintain refrigeration equipment.
- Comfortable handling preventive maintenance and service/repair calls (about a 50/50 mix).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
- Willing to dispatch from home, travel within the assigned territory, and occasionally handle calls that run later than expected.
- Understands this is field service with a rotating on-call schedule (overtime available if desired).
- EPA certification is highly preferred (CFESA is preferred but not required).
- Professional, dependable, and trainable with strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
Salary: $20–$50/hour, depending on experience, certifications, and skill level.
Benefits: Medical insurance through Cigna, dental insurance, vision insurance, FSA, dependent care account, 401(k) after one year with 4% company match, PTO beginning to accrue after 90 days, sick leave (approximately 80 hours), vacation (approximately 40 hours with rollover available), paid holidays, $200 annual uniform/equipment allowance, and an annual bonus based on seniority. Medical benefits begin after 90 days (non-negotiable).
