Bring your structural steel expertise to a shop-based team in Lytle, Texas, where your leadership directly drives accurate fabrication and on-time project delivery. This Shop Foreman opportunity offers a hands-on role with meaningful overtime potential and the chance to mentor welders and helpers while keeping production moving strong.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Shop Foreman position include:
- 10+ years of structural steel fabrication experience; must be able to run full structural fabrication jobs from prints through completion.
- Independently execute shop jobs accurately and on schedule for structural steel components.
- Review/read prints, perform steel takeoffs, and create cut lists.
- Verify materials and coordinate fabrication while troubleshooting prints as needed.
- Provide hands-on flux-core and hard-wire welding experience on structural steel.
- Comfortable working as a hands-on foreman who trains welders/helpers and steps into fabrication work as needed.
- Welding certifications preferred; forklift certification preferred (D1/D3 welding experience noted).
- Lead a shop team of approximately 6 welders and 4 helpers to meet production goals.
Salary: $35/hour; 90-day performance review with potential raise; bonus eligibility after 1 year.
