This Sales Estimator opportunity offers a balanced mix of office estimating and on-site field work, supporting commercial install, renovation, and service projects from $5K to $400K. Based in Chicago with a 30-mile radius of downtown coverage, it’s a great place to build your career and grow with a team!
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Sales Estimator position include:
- 3-5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler system installation, renovation, and testing in a commercial setting, with estimating and sales experience required.
- Strong understanding of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 codes, with the ability to apply that knowledge to estimates and proposals.
- Proven track record in sales and business development, including networking, canvassing, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Ability to estimate project costs, prepare detailed proposals, and deliver accurate quotes for installation and service work.
- Client relationship management skills, including building relationships with key decision-makers for repeat business.
- Project oversight mindset, collaborating with internal teams to support on-time, on-budget completion and regulatory/safety standards.
- Familiarity with union environments is essential for smooth operations and working relationships (union membership not required).
- Experience with ServiceTrade or similar software is preferred.
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
