Description
Bring your bulk material handling expertise to a hands-on, high-ownership role based in Charlotte, NC where you’ll lead complex projects from concept to completion and help drive engineering execution on the shop floor. This Project Manager / Mechanical Engineering Manager opportunity combines customer-facing project leadership with mechanical engineering management and R&D support in a growing, mission-driven manufacturing environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Manager / Mechanical Engineering Manager position include:
- 5+ years of experience in bulk material handling.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing big-picture scope and schedule with hands-on technical and operational detail.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and suppliers, communicating regularly and proactively with minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Own project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; escalate risks and resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, shop, and sales teams to keep projects moving from quote to delivery.
- Oversee and mentor at least one mechanical drafter (3D CAD), with the expectation that the team will grow and you will scale engineering support.
- Assign work and hold team members accountable for deadlines and accuracy of deliverables.
- Oversee shop assembly of equipment and systems, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting as needed.
Salary: $100K–$140K+ per year, commensurate with experience.
