Bring your electrical expertise to a fast-growing organization delivering high-impact government and federal projects across the DMV, with a strong focus on building the estimating function from the ground up. In this Electrical Superintendent / Estimator opportunity in Alexandria, VA, you’ll split time between preconstruction estimating and field leadership as you help drive projects from bid through execution.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electrical Superintendent / Estimator position include:
- 5+ years of electrical experience with 3+ years of leadership experience; superintendent/field leadership background preferred over estimating-only experience.
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review construction drawings, electrical plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope and pricing.
- Develop material takeoffs, labor estimates, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Use estimating tools and construction software to support competitive proposals.
- Ensure estimates comply with NEC, NFPA 70, and applicable local electrical codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors; support budgeting, change orders, and cost tracking.
- Communicate directly with clients and assist with mentoring junior estimators as the team grows.
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
