We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer in Rockville, MD to join a forward-thinking, employee-owned MEP firm that is making a mark in science, technology, laboratory, mission-critical, and data center environments. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electrical Project Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5–10 years of professional experience, preferably in MEP consulting and with science/tech/data center projects
- Lead electrical design for power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems
- Ensure code compliance, safety standards, and seamless system integration into building designs
- Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation using AutoCAD (Revit a plus)
- Perform construction administration, field investigations, and attend project/site meetings
- Estimate electrical system costs and support projects staying within budget
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during design and construction phases
Salary: $90,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
