Qualifications and responsibilities for this Systems Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant technical or engineering experience
- Ignition Gold certification (Level II or III), with deep knowledge of SCADA platforms, especially Inductive Automation Ignition
- Expertise in controls and SCADA system programming, including RTACs, PLCs, HMIs, and structured text (IEC61131), ladder logic, and function block diagram
- Strong grasp of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA/DA, DNP-3), power systems integration, and control optimization
- Experience in renewable energy, PV solar, energy storage, or wind systems is preferred
- Responsible for full-cycle design, development, and commissioning of SCADA and Controls systems for utility-scale projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support commissioning tasks (including some travel and potential overtime), and troubleshoot field issues
- Mentorship of junior engineers and support continuous improvement of control and SCADA systems
Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including United Healthcare health insurance covering 85% for employees and families, 100% 401K match up to 4% after 90 days, 15 days of PTO plus 3 floating days (front-loaded), and a 10% year-end bonus based on year-to-date salary.
