Qualifications and responsibilities for this Subsurface Utility Engineer Technician position include:
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience with utility line locating equipment and SUE designating
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Designate buried utilities using advanced geophysical technologies and accurately interpret subsurface information in the field and during post-processing
- Research utility company records, perform field observations, and support project goals, scope of work, and client expectations
- Assist with utility excavation work while following all applicable safety guidelines and scope requirements
- Operate and maintain surveying and SUE equipment, support cross-training in both departments, and safely use company vehicles on a per-job basis
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons, travel weekly for day assignments, and travel overnight frequently throughout Texas
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional image
Salary: $22 - $32 per hour, commensurate with experience.
