Join our engineering firm, specializing in mechanical, electrical, civil, and transmission engineering, as a Substation Engineer. We are launching a substation division, and this key position will be at the forefront of spearheading these efforts. Based in Fargo, this role combines technical expertise in substation design with leadership responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to shape and grow the new division.
Qualifications and Responsibilities for this Substation Engineer Include:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in substation engineering, with a professional engineer (PE) license.
- Expertise in both power and transmission substations, encompassing new construction, renovations, and expansions.
- Initial focus on detailed design work, transitioning to oversight as the team expands.
- Responsible for coordinating with other engineers, assembling cost proposals, and conducting studies for project planning.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (specific software to be adopted based on expertise), Microsoft Suite, and Blue Beam.
- Leadership skills to mentor and guide less experienced engineers, enhancing team capabilities and division growth.
Salary: $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
