They're a one-stop shop for both buildings and doors, offering clients a seamless, integrated experience. With over 900+ doors produced annually, this innovative company is ready to bring a Structural Engineer onboard in Michigan to help lead the design side of the business and support ongoing expansion.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer position include:
- PE license (or ability to obtain); open to candidates with strong structural detailing background
- PE license in Florida is a plus. Will need to be able to obtain reciprocity in FL.
- Experience with structural design for metal buildings, hangar doors, or similar products
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus
- Create and review structural drawings to ensure clearance, fit, and functionality of custom hangar doors
- Coordinate with internal manufacturing and production teams to deliver highly specialized doors and building systems
- Collaborate with the company owner and learn their design process in a hands-on setting
- Responsible for stamping drawings (approx. 10% of projects require stamp)
- Assist with building design as the company expands into full pre-engineered metal buildings
Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
