Qualifications and responsibilities for this Stormwater Project Engineer position include:
- Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited program
- PE in Illinois or EIT with the ability to acquire PE licensure within one year of employment
- Certified Floodplain Manager certification, or the ability to obtain within one year of employment
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong technical background in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater modeling
- Plan, design, and implement stormwater management systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and developing sustainable flood control and water quality solutions
- Oversee participation in the National Flood Insurance Program and ensure completion of Community Rating System recertification requirements and NPDES compliance
- Collaborate effectively with Village staff, elected officials, residents, developers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
- Support project teams in both administrative and field-based work, with responsibilities shifting seasonally and regular interaction with the local community
Salary: $107,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
