This is an exciting opportunity to support a large central utility plant serving a dynamic campus environment where your technical expertise truly makes an impact. If you are highly skilled in boiler operations, HVAC systems, and complex mechanical equipment — and you enjoy working independently while contributing to a strong facilities team — this role offers stability, leadership responsibility, and long-term growth.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Stationary Engineer - EPA Certification position include:
- Valid EPA Certification
- Valid City of Buffalo Stationary Engineer License (1st or 2nd Class) or equivalent
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of Stationary Engineer experience (10 years with high-pressure steam systems preferred)
- Experience operating and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers and steam distribution systems
- Experience with chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, heat pumps, air compressors, heat exchangers, and VAV pneumatic controls
- Proficiency with Tridium BAS and computerized maintenance management systems
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical and mechanical systems
Salary: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
