This Senior Structural Engineer (Precast/Prestressed Concrete) opportunity is based in Middlebury, VT and offers a design-focused role within a company that has been thriving since the mid 1900’s and continues to innovate in precast and prestressed concrete solutions.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Structural Engineer (Precast/Prestressed Concrete) position include:

  • Perform advanced structural design and engineering calculations for precast and prestressed concrete structures such as parking garages, bridges, multi-family residential buildings, and hotels.
  • Serve as the technical authority, generating, reviewing, and sealing (P.E.) calculations and construction documents in compliance with IBC, ASCE-7, ACI 318, PCI, and related codes.
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of CAD/Revit detailers while maintaining a primarily hands-on design role.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, plant operations, and quality control to resolve design, production, and constructability issues.
  • Manage multiple projects through design, review, submission, production, and construction phases while meeting schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support bids, respond to RFIs, and deliver value-engineered design-build solutions.
  • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and structural design software along with strong Excel and Word skills to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain Professional Engineer licensure and the ability to obtain licensure in New England states and New York.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
