Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Structural Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (or plan to obtain within 6–12 months).
- 10+ years of structural design experience in heavy industrial facilities such as fertilizer, phosphate, and power plants.
- Expertise in structural steel and foundation design, including shallow and deep foundations.
- Proficient with STAAD, RISA-3D, AutoCAD, and Revit; experience with finite element modeling and dynamic analysis.
- Prepare hand and computer-aided calculations, FEA models, technical reports, and cost estimate studies.
- Act as engineer-of-record and structural discipline lead, coordinating with multidiscipline teams (mechanical, electrical, piping, etc.).
- Review vendor documentation, RFIs, and shop drawings, and occasionally visit sites for field data and inspections.
- Manage multiple small-to-mid-size projects simultaneously with limited oversight and take ownership of scheduling and budgeting.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
