Description
Step into a vital role as a Senior Stationary Engineer just south of Buffalo, where you will oversee and maintain central Utility Plant Systems that support critical operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, BAS, emergency generators, and electrical distribution systems in a stable and professional environment. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Stationary Engineer position include:
- Valid City of Buffalo Stationary Engineer License (1st or 2nd Class) or equivalent; valid driver’s license; High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of Stationary Engineer experience (7 preferred); Tridium BAS experience required; EPA certification required (or within 6 months)
- Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, BAS, emergency generators, and electrical distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment including AHUs, cooling towers, heat pumps, compressors, and VAV controls
- Monitor BAS systems and respond to alarms to maintain safe, efficient operations
- Perform boiler water testing, chemical treatment, and maintain steam distribution systems
- Maintain logs, complete regulatory paperwork, and manage electronic work orders accurately
- Respond to after-hours HVAC issues and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience.
