Description
Senior MEP Electrical Engineer opportunity in Elk Grove Village, IL, with a well-established MEP consulting engineering firm known for its strong educational facility work, long-term client relationships, and collaborative team culture. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Engineer position include:
- 3+ years of MEP electrical design experience for Electrical Engineer/Designer or 7+ years for Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager
- Building/construction design experience required, with K-12 project experience strongly preferred
- Design electrical systems including medium to low voltage power distribution, emergency power generation, lighting, lighting controls, and low voltage systems
- Produce electrical construction documentation for commercial, institutional, and educational facility projects
- AutoCAD experience required; Revit experience is a plus
- Complete short circuit and coordination studies while applying knowledge of building and energy codes
- Work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering team while managing multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills; PE license is a plus but not required
Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
