Step into a leadership role as a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer (PE) with flexibility to be based in multiple locations across New York, including Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, and more. Join a highly respected, multidisciplinary firm known for delivering impactful infrastructure projects, where you’ll lead high-profile transportation designs, mentor teams, and help shape safer, more efficient roadways across the region.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Highway Transportation Engineer (PE) position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 20+ years of progressive highway/roadway design experience, including NYSDOT projects
- Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for highway design and cost estimates
- Perform and oversee advanced roadway design including alignments, profiles, and grading
- Ensure compliance with NYSDOT and local standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Conduct quality reviews for constructability and technical accuracy of design documents
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
Salary: $130,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
