Step into a high-impact Senior Electrical Design Engineer role that is fully remote, supporting projects based in Central Minnesota and Northwest Iowa for a well-established engineering firm known in its region for designing critical infrastructure that helps feed and fuel the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new facility designs and expansions for grain terminals, feed mills, and processing plants in highly automated industrial environments where your expertise will directly shape essential operations.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Design Engineer position include:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); lead electrical design for new facility construction and expansion projects
- 8–12+ years of electrical design experience, preferably in agricultural or industrial environments; develop power distribution systems for grain terminals, feed mills, and processing plants
- Experience working in highly automated plant or mill environments; design automation-focused systems that support complex industrial operations
- Working knowledge of NFPA and IEEE standards; ensure designs align with applicable industry codes and standards
- Proficiency with SKM or ETAP; perform arc flash and coordination studies
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit; produce technical drafting and develop complex electrical systems
- Experience with grounding and lighting system design; create reliable and efficient grounding and lighting layouts for industrial facilities
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; develop P&IDs, motor schedules, and field instrument schedules while supporting multidisciplinary project execution
Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
