Join an entrepreneurial engineering firm as a Senior Civil Engineering Manager - Mission Critical & Advanced Energy Infrastructure in Texas, with flexibility for candidates in Houston, Dallas, or remote within Texas. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a brand-new data center civil engineering practice, shaping technical standards, client relationships, and growth strategy for mission-critical, utility-driven, and advanced energy infrastructure projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineering Manager - Mission Critical & Advanced Energy Infrastructure position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with Texas PE strongly preferred
- 12+ years of civil/site design, land development, infrastructure, mission-critical, or utility-driven project experience
- Strong background managing multidisciplinary civil projects with fast-track design and permitting requirements
- Lead business development, proposal support, and relationship-building with developers, hyperscalers, EPC contractors, and energy partners
- Provide technical leadership for data centers, large campus-style developments, substations, utility routing, and advanced energy infrastructure
- Oversee mass grading, drainage and hydrology, stormwater, floodplain compliance, access, roadway, and circulation planning
- Serve as senior PM or technical lead while managing internal teams, consultants, quality control, permitting accuracy, and client meetings
- Develop internal standards, mentor staff, support hiring, and help shape pricing, staffing models, and long-term practice growth
