Qualifications and responsibilities for this Saw Operator (Fabrication Department) position include:
- Basic mechanical knowledge and visual thinking abilities
- Comfort with blueprint reading, measurement tools, and interpreting cut-sheets
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for 8–10 hours
- Set up and operate automatic band saws to cut raw materials to spec
- Perform basic mathematical operations and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Unload vendor trucks, receive and check in raw materials, and communicate with purchasing
- Follow detailed instructions and respond positively to training and coaching
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 70% employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 68 hours of PTO after 6 months increasing to 136 hours after your first year (available upfront), and a 401(k) with a 3% employer match.
