Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Engineer I position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline) with 2+ years of relevant experience in water and wastewater projects.
- Perform evaluations for new customer water/wastewater connection requests and assist with infrastructure upgrade planning.
- Must have or obtain Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification within two years of employment.
- Review and approve utility design plans, DEP planning modules, pump station designs, and shop drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with working knowledge of CAD, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and familiarity with PADEP regulations.
- Support construction inspections and coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and property owners to ensure compliance with design standards.
- Prepare planning studies and regulatory reports such as Chapter 94 and Act 537 submissions.
- Work closely with internal engineering and planning teams to assess long-term system capacity for growth.
Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
