This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Batavia, NY that specializes in high-volume, hands-on assembly of gift baskets and containers. This Production Manager role offers the chance to lead a large production team, improve efficiency in a labor-intensive environment, and play a key role in implementing automation and process improvements within a stable company known for strong employee retention and growth potential.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Production Manager position include:
- Managing daily production output and overall plant floor operations
- Directly supervising 40+ hourly production employees, with seasonal workforce increases
- Leading supervisors or team leads who report directly to you
- Overseeing inventory management and ensuring accurate tracking
- Utilizing and working within ERP systems for production and inventory control
- Driving process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce labor dependency
- Evaluating and helping implement automation or semi-automated processes
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including competitive health insurance with approximately 75% employer-paid coverage, free dental insurance, a 401(k) with a 3% company match, company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, 10 paid holidays annually, a company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s, and vacation starting at two weeks with increases based on tenure.
