This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, design-driven organization in the outdoor living industry that creates premium pergolas and architectural aluminum structures. This Product Development Engineer role is based fully on-site in Miami, Florida, and offers the chance to work directly with executive leadership on innovative products while helping build internal engineering processes from the ground up. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Product Development Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience designing outdoor pergolas or similar metal/aluminum structures
- Creating, modifying, and managing 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks, along with detailed 2D manufacturing and installation drawings
- Supporting product development through concept validation, design iterations, materials selection, and prototype releases
- Creating and maintaining installation manuals, technical guides, and assembly instructions for internal teams and dealer support
- Managing BOMs, part lists, and revision control while supporting full product lifecycle documentation
- Building and standardizing backend CAD processes, templates, naming conventions, and documentation workflows
- Utilizing Excel for BOM management, reporting, costing inputs, and tracking design changes
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, production, sales, and manufacturing to ensure designs are production-ready
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
