This Principal Quality Engineer position in Tempe, AZ offers the opportunity to work hands-on with product development and R&D in a fast-paced environment where experienced engineers directly influence quality systems, product design, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Principal Quality Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Lead quality engineering initiatives within a fast-paced medical device development environment.
  • 10+ years of quality engineering experience – Provide senior-level guidance on quality systems, product development, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Class II or Class III medical device development – Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills using Minitab – Support data-driven decision making, process validation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on product development and R&D collaboration – Work closely with engineering and lab teams to resolve technical quality challenges.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies – Implement root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills – Collaborate with product development, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments – Contribute to building and scaling quality processes as the organization grows.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
