A thriving custom HVAC manufacturer in Dallas, TX is seeking a Materials Manager who’s ready to own the full spectrum of materials operations—from tactical purchasing to strategic sourcing and capacity planning. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Materials Manager position include:
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain within custom manufacturing (not high-volume, low-mix)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- APICS/CPIM or similar certification preferred (required for top salary tier)
- Experience managing commodities such as galvanized sheet metal, copper, aluminum extrusions
- Strong skills in ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions preferred), intermediate-to-advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial formulas)
- Oversee daily materials operations including purchase orders, inventory levels, supplier communication, and production scheduling
- Lead monthly/annual planning activities: forecasting, supplier performance reviews, cost analysis, strategic sourcing, and budgeting
- Must be detail-oriented, with proven ability to drive cost savings and process improvements
Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
