Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic position include:
- Minimum 4+ years of manufacturing experience (food industry preferred) – troubleshoot, repair, and maintain food production and packaging equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude – replace bearings, gears, chains, gearboxes, and perform advanced mechanical repairs
- Basic to advanced electrical knowledge (use of DVM, ammeter, understanding standard outlet voltage) – diagnose and repair electrical systems
- Experience with PLC programming and automation – maintain, program, and troubleshoot automated equipment
- Welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG preferred) – modify and fabricate conveyor systems and equipment components
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics – analyze root causes and resolve electromechanical issues
- Preventive maintenance experience – document repairs, maintain logs, and ensure maximum equipment uptime
- Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, FDA, HACCP, and SSOP standards – maintain compliance and a safe working environment
Salary: $27 - $31 per hour, commensurate with experience.
