Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead Product Engineer position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred); open to those from automotive or furniture backgrounds
- 12+ years of progressive product design experience, especially in tools, fasteners, or construction-related products
- Expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), with a strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and tolerance-based designs
- Ability to develop manufacturable, innovative solutions from concept to production with overseas supplier collaboration
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and quality engineering principles
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading collaborative design environments
- Passion for engaging with end-users, gathering field insights, and translating them into effective design solutions
- Familiarity with IP generation, patent submissions, and product lifecycle leadership
Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
