A rapidly growing HVAC startup is seeking a General Manager in Akron, OH to help build and lead a new operation from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional with a Florida HVAC license to step into a leadership role where you’ll initially work in the field before transitioning into full operational leadership. Qualifications and responsibilities for this General Manager position include:
- Hold an active State of Ohio HVAC License (required) and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
- 10+ years of residential HVAC service experience with strong knowledge of residential and light commercial systems
- Work hands-on in the field during initial startup operations, supporting technicians and ensuring service quality
- Lead daily operations, including dispatch oversight, workflow management, and service performance optimization
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor technicians, sales staff, and office personnel to build a high-performing team
- Manage financial operations including budgets, pricing strategies, and P&L performance to ensure profitability
- Develop sales strategies and customer service initiatives to grow revenue and strengthen customer satisfaction
- Utilize CRM and operational tools to track performance, reporting, and operational efficiency
Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
