This exciting Director of Purchasing – Residential Construction opportunity is based in Berwyn, PA, and offers the chance to lead purchasing strategy for large-scale residential developments while mentoring a growing team. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Purchasing – Residential Construction position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain management experience in a leadership role.
- Oversee the full purchasing lifecycle for residential construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Lead cost control initiatives by monitoring construction costs versus budget and identifying opportunities for savings.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts for goods and services while overseeing renewals, expirations, and vendor compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while identifying and onboarding new vendors.
- Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, including purchasing agents and coordinators.
- Improve purchasing systems and procedures related to pricing, options, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
