We’re seeking a Director of Engineering for an in-office role in Indianapolis, IN to lead transformative infrastructure projects across a growing statewide system of ports. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Engineering position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil preferred) from an ABET-accredited school
- PE (Professional Engineer) license in the State of Indiana is required
- 10+ years of engineering experience; minimum 2 years in a leadership role
- Background in infrastructure projects (bridges, roads, capital development)
- Oversee capital project planning and execution across multiple port locations
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with executive leadership on capital budgeting and infrastructure strategy
- Present technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including state pension contributions (3% every pay period), vesting options at 5 and 10 years, health, dental, and vision insurance, 12–15 vacation days, 9 sick days, 3 personal days, all state holidays, 1 floating holiday, and a discretionary performance bonus (target 10–15%). A company vehicle or vehicle allowance is also provided.
