Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Business Development – Building Materials position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or market expansion within building materials or related industries
  • Proven success selling to both contractors and architects, with the ability to present at industry events and conferences
  • Experience with products such as decking, siding, cladding, or railings in the construction or exterior retrofit space
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and managing a dynamic sales pipeline
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%) throughout California and the West Coast
  • Comfortable with a 50-hour workweek and early contractor-facing hours
  • Strategic thinker with execution skills in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment

Salary: $100,000 base with total compensation ranging from $140,000 - $160,000 per year, based on performance, commissions/bonuses, and equity opportunity.
