We’re currently seeking a Design Engineer II to join a dynamic engineering team that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and solving complex fabrication challenges for experiential environments. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Design Engineer II position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, or Mechanical Engineering required
- 3–5 years of experience in design engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced SolidWorks skills, including top-down or in-context modeling techniques
- Experience with structural metal, sheet metal, plastics, and plywood/MDF fabrication preferred
- Create detailed models, tool paths, and fabrication drawings while upholding design intent
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, and Production teams
- Lead smaller to mid-sized projects and mentor junior engineers
- Perform in-house SolidWorks assessments as part of the interview process
Salary: $33.50 - $37.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This is a 13-week 1099 opportunity with potential to roll over to full-time.
