Description
Innovative advanced shot peening and surface-treatment projects are taking shape across aerospace, power generation, defense, and industrial markets, and you’ll be part of the team bringing automated systems to life in Braselton, Georgia. In this Controls & Automation Engineer opportunity, you’ll develop, program, troubleshoot, and commission the electrical and automation controls that drive reliable, high-quality manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Controls & Automation Engineer position include:
- Experience as a Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar role
- Fanuc CNC and PMC programming experience required
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical control systems for shot peening machinery
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs
- Robotic cell integration, robot programming, end-of-arm tooling integration, safety circuits, and coordination between robots, PLCs, HMIs, and CNC systems
- Responsible for electrical panel layout, wiring, and system integration
- Perform machine startup, testing, and commissioning; support installations and service work at customer facilities
- Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation; train customers on machine operation and controls systems when required
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on skill and experience.
