We are seeking a Consultant Controls Engineers to support a cutting-edge Data Science initiative at an oil and gas refinery. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Consultant Controls Engineer position include:
- Extensive experience with Honeywell Experion Control PLCs
- Proven expertise writing and reviewing Function Block Diagram (FBD) code
- Develop FBD code using provided specifications and legacy code inputs
- Clearly verbalize and explain coding processes and industry best practices
- Review internally prepared function block diagrams and provide detailed feedback
- Participate in regular virtual meetings and communicate effectively via email
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and accommodate flexible early/late meetings
- Availability to work 10–20 hours per week for an initial 2–3 week engagement (with potential extension)
Salary: $80 - $100 per hour, commensurate with experience.
