Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC/Controls Sales Engineer position include:
- 5+ years of sales experience with a technical degree, or 10+ years of field experience (lead technician with some sales background)
- Strong technical understanding of commercial HVAC and controls systems
- Proven ability to self-generate leads, develop relationships, estimate, and close projects
- Existing book of business required with immediate revenue production expected (no ramp-up period)
- Experience working with agencies that do not advertise public bids
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and meet quarterly sales targets ($500K+ per quarter)
- Comfortable covering LA, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6am–3pm, remote flexibility with production accountability
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus 2–3% commission on gross sales.
