Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer position include:
- 2+ years of CNC programming experience – Create, modify, and optimize CNC part programs for machining operations.
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or Mastercam – Develop fixtures, tool paths, cutter path verification, and ensure production accuracy.
- Experience with 3, 4, or 5-axis machining centers (up to 5-axis preferred) – Download, set up, and prove out programs on mills, lathes, and mill/turn machines.
- Strong background in production machining (metals required) – Support hands-on setup, prove-out, and machining optimization directly at the machine.
- Ability to interpret GD&T and engineering drawings – Ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Knowledge of measuring techniques (CMM, gauges, etc.) – Assist with first article validation and process verification.
- Troubleshooting and process improvement skills – Reduce machining time, extend tool life, and enhance overall production efficiency.
- Collaborative mindset and communication skills – Work with design engineers and competitive shooting professionals to develop innovative products and train less experienced staff.
Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
