We are seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer / Machinist to join a highly respected, family-owned manufacturer in Northern Allegheny County, specializing in low-volume, high-complexity parts for the military, steel, and medical industries. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Lathe Programmer / Machinist position include:
- 5+ years of experience with CNC lathe setup and operation; must be able to program simple parts (Face, Turn, Thread) on Day 1
- Proficient in G-Code for Haas lathes (SL10, ST40, TL3W); Siemens Sinumerik control experience a plus
- Fusion 360 experience preferred but not required
- Ability to set up tooling, select feeds and speeds, and optimize programs for precision and efficiency
- Create and document setup sheets, tooling, and fixture designs
- Inspect and troubleshoot finished parts to ensure accuracy to design specs
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs/upgrades
- Willingness to train and supervise junior machinists; be a go-to resource on the shop floor
Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
