Join a respected and long-standing municipal utilities contractor as a Civil Estimator – Water/Wastewater Infrastructure based in Topeka, KS! Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Estimator – Water/Wastewater Infrastructure position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or 7+ years of equivalent estimating/project management experience
- 2-3 years of direct estimating experience in water/sewer/storm drainage projects
- Ability to perform detailed pre-bid analysis including site visits and job condition assessments
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bid2Win or HeavyBid
- Prepare comprehensive bid documents, submit proposals, and clarify plans/specifications with engineers
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors by passing down project data and coding awarded jobs for accounting
- Write purchase orders and subcontracts as needed, and resolve vendor and subcontractor quotation issues
- Occasionally perform duties of a project engineer and attend pre-bid meetings or site visits as required
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
