Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university; oversee the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects including water, sewer, drainage, and roadway systems.
  • Five (5) years of progressive civil engineering experience with project management, design, and construction; manage multiple infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain within six months; review and approve engineering plans, plats, and construction documents for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; perform occasional field visits to project and construction sites.
  • Experience with infrastructure or public works projects preferred; serve as the lead engineering authority providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Strong project management and budgeting experience; prepare specifications, cost estimates, bid documents, and construction contracts.
  • Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders; ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; prepare reports, analyze engineering data, and present recommendations to leadership.

Salary: $120,000- $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
