Are you a detail-driven designer with a passion for fine craftsmanship and advanced technology? This CAD/CAM Designer opportunity in Attleboro, MA offers the chance to join a highly respected custom jewelry manufacturer known for blending traditional metalsmithing artistry with cutting-edge 3D modeling and CNC milling. You’ll work hands-on creating intricate tooling, dies, models, and molds that bring meaningful recognition pieces and championship jewelry to life—all while collaborating in a tight-knit, team-oriented environment that values innovation and shared success.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAD/CAM Designer position include:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or CAD/CAM programming preferred; 3+ years of CAD/CAM experience – Design and develop tooling, dies, models, and molds for jewelry production.
- Proficiency in Rhino, Matrix, and ArtCam/Carveco – Create detailed 3D CAD designs (wireframe, surface, and solid modeling) for manufacturing.
- Experience translating CAD data (DXF, IGES, STP) – Prepare accurate files for technicians and CNC production.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and milling equipment – Share responsibility in a two-person team for running CNC mills.
- Strong understanding of fine detail and modeling for jewelry applications – Refine and modify designs to meet customer specifications and production standards.
- Collaborative communication skills – Interface with Sales, Engineering, Production, and customers to evaluate and finalize design concepts.
- Knowledge of additional 3D software such as Rhino Grasshopper, MatrixGold, or ZBrush (plus) – Support parametric modeling and advanced design solutions.
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership qualities – Participate in daily standups, support cross-training, mentor others, and contribute to process improvements.
Salary: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
