We’re seeking an experienced Boiler Service Technician in Boonton, NJ to join a reputable and niche service company that specializes in maintaining large boiler systems for school districts and public works clients. If you’ve got experience with classic systems, and want to work where your specialized skills are appreciated and needed, this is the opportunity for you!
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Boiler Service Technician position include:
- Experience with legacy boiler systems such as Cleaver-Brooks, H.B. Smith, and LockinVar
- Comfortable with hands-on service, maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Willingness to be part of a rotating on-call schedule, especially during heating season
- No required certifications, though welding certifications are a plus
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in commercial or industrial boiler systems
- Ability to meet at the Boonton office and eventually operate a company van independently
- Familiarity with public works contracts and boiler service requirements for school districts
- Capable of working independently while also being a team player in a fun, hardworking environment
Salary: $52.27 an hour, prevailing wage position, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including $1,000 per month for healthcare, two weeks of PTO, and discretionary annual bonuses based on company performance.
