Qualifications and responsibilities for this Automation Engineer position include:

  • 5+ years of experience in batch production manufacturing, with a solid grasp of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of E&I and calibration procedures, preferably with CGNP or highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience managing projects from start to finish, including control systems design, documentation, and implementation
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLC, and integration processes; experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi platforms preferred
  • Ability to distinguish between IT and automation disciplines in plant environments
  • Comfortable working in a production setting that operates more like a chemical plant than pharmaceutical
  • Capable of mentoring technicians and coordinating with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams to support automation and control projects
  • On-call availability once a month with low likelihood of plant visits unless emergencies arise

Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
