Qualifications and responsibilities for this Advanced Controls Process Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline; design and optimize automated manufacturing processes for production lines.
- 5+ years of Controls/PLC Engineering experience; provide day-to-day production support and troubleshoot automation systems to minimize downtime.
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming including ladder logic and structured text; develop new automation logic for manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs (Siemens or other PLC platforms a plus); modify and optimize existing PLC programs to improve throughput and cycle time.
- Experience integrating sensors and automation hardware such as photo-eyes, cameras, encoders, and load cells; support commissioning of new equipment and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (EPLAN/AutoCAD); assist with hardware integration, device configuration, and industrial networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills; diagnose faults in PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion systems, and safety systems.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing environments; collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
