Description
Make your mark on high-impact commercial and federal projects with a fully remote estimating team that supports bids from analysis through final submission. This Senior Construction Estimator opportunity is based remotely with Midwest or central/eastern U.S. candidates preferred, ideally near Chicago or Columbus for convenient national travel.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Construction Estimator position include:
- Proven construction estimating experience with a general construction/GC background (30+ years preferred; specialty-trade-only backgrounds will not be considered).
- Analyze construction drawings and specifications to complete bid packages.
- Prepare estimates for commercial, federal/government, industrial, renovation, and ground-up construction projects.
- Prepare bid documentation and solicit pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
- Work with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing and determine product feasibility.
- Interact with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve specification or design issues.
- Generate estimating schedules that account for project time frames, material lead times, and potential setbacks.
- Submit all bids and budgets by established deadlines, including transmitting addenda and bid information to subcontractors.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
