An exciting opportunity is available for an Senior MEP Mechanical Engineer in Elk Grove Village, IL with a well-established, MEP consulting engineering firm known for long-term client relationships and a strong focus on educational facility projects. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior MEP Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Minimum 3+ years of mechanical/HVAC engineering design experience with building or construction design experience required
- 7+ years of mechanical/HVAC engineering design experience preferred
- Design HVAC systems, including heat loss/heat gain calculations, ductwork, distribution systems, hot water piping, and chilled water piping
- AutoCAD experience required; Revit experience preferred
- Work on primarily K-12 educational facilities, along with commercial, self-storage, and other local projects
- Apply knowledge of building automation systems, building codes, and energy codes
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment
- Conduct local site surveys, attend client meetings, and develop strong client relationships
- PE license and LEED AP accreditation are a plus, along with strong communication, interpersonal, and self-directed work skills
Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
