Description
Join a niche industrial contracting team as an Industrial Sales Engineer professional, working remotely with travel throughout the Midwest, including Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and potentially Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to support large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects in meat processing and food production facilities while helping grow business in a specialized, high-demand industrial market.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Industrial Sales Engineer position include:
- Industrial contracting experience required, with strong knowledge of meatpacking, food processing, or sanitary industrial facilities.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, labor/material calculations, budgets, schedules, and bid proposals.
- Review blueprints, specifications, bid documents, P&IDs, and scope requirements for large industrial projects.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes while coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients, and field supervisors.
- Conduct job site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, lead follow-up, and new business development throughout assigned territories.
- Use Excel and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate estimating records, project documentation, and cost tracking.
- Support project planning, procurement, change order pricing, and cost control throughout project execution.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed, including evenings and/or weekend work based on project schedules.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus commission on completed projects acquired.
