This Project Development Engineer position in Elmhurst, IL offers the chance to collaborate with top interior design firms while helping bring complex, design-forward drapery and window systems to life. If you enjoy a mix of technical problem-solving, client interaction, and hands-on project work, this role provides a unique path within the luxury residential design industry.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Development Engineer position include:

  • 2–5 years of experience in residential construction, fabrication, design, or a related industry; assist in developing project plans and technical solutions for custom window treatment systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail; translate designer concepts into precise measurements, specifications, and executable project plans.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, CAD, or similar drafting tools; develop project documentation, layouts, and specifications.
  • Comfortable working on job sites and conducting field measurements; attend site visits with the Sales Development team to evaluate conditions and gather project data.
  • Proposal and pricing development skills; prepare detailed proposals, project scopes, and cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; work closely with designers, sales representatives, fabrication teams, and installers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; track project details, revisions, and timelines from concept through production and installation.
  • Willingness to travel locally and nationwide; support site visits and project development efforts across various locations.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
