This is a high-impact opportunity to work directly with ownership, lead advanced retaining wall and deep foundation designs, and play a key role in growing a profitable branch. If you’re a Florida-licensed PE who thrives in a hands-on, contractor-driven environment and enjoys blending technical expertise with estimating and business development, this role offers both leadership and growth potential.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Design Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering – Lead design and analysis of retaining walls, MSE walls, deep foundations, and ground improvement systems
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing – Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
  • 5+ years of progressive geotechnical or foundation design experience – Perform structural design, stability analysis, seismic design, and value engineering
  • Expertise with FDOT specifications and design software (Shoring Suite, DeepExcavation, DeepFDN, MSEW, ReSSA, Slide, LPILE, GROUP, AutoCAD) – Deliver accurate, code-compliant engineered solutions
  • Experience in estimating and bidding – Assist with proposals, review and approve bids, and pursue new project opportunities
  • Strong coordination skills – Collaborate with third-party engineers, owners, and contractors during design and construction phases
  • Construction-phase support experience – Respond to RFIs and provide field troubleshooting
  • Leadership and business acumen – Mentor technical staff and contribute to revenue growth and profitability targets

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health insurance available after 90 days with 33% employer-paid and 67% employee-paid medical coverage, dental and vision coverage at the employee’s expense, 401K eligibility after 1 year of employment, and PTO that accrues with a few days available after 90 days, one week after 6 months, and two weeks after one year.
