Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineering Project Manager position include:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to obtain Hawaii licensure (reciprocity supported) – Sign and seal drawings while assuming full engineering responsibility
  • 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience – Lead mechanical and fire protection design projects from concept through construction
  • Strong background in MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, pumps, piping, fire protection) – Plan, design, and perform advanced engineering calculations
  • Project management experience – Develop project plans, manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and client communication
  • Supervisory experience – Mentor and oversee junior engineers and project teams
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (6+ years preferred) and working knowledge of Revit (3+ years preferred) – Oversee production of drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Experience with federal, state, or institutional projects – Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Strong communication and organizational skills – Serve as primary client contact and manage multiple priorities independently

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
